A motivated, bilingual producer and editor with experience in marketing and content production for major brands and international media companies, Kayo Zhang looks for the human connection in every story. Her work has been recognized nationally and featured in several international film festivals including the Berlin Short Film Festival, Mulan International Film Festival, and Rhode Island International Film Festival. She received a Master’s in media culture communication from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Michigan State University.
Kayo has a passion for projects that explore intercultural conflicts and the inner lives of her subjects. During the Covid-19 pandemic, Kayo served on a feature-length documentary about the similarities and the stories of people who were the closest to its epicenter.

Experienced in leading teams and driving projects to achieve results on time, Kayo is also passionate about delivering entertaining and captivating content. In the corporate content production world, her interests range from entrepreneurship, technology, DEI, and exploring industry trends and business insights. She specializes in telling unique stories that highlight various company cultures and individuals that drive business results.
She has produced, directed, and edited independent documentary shorts on social topics, including the lack of federal policy maternity leave, and hatred against Asian communities in the States.
