Fan Zhang

Fan Zhang is a Quantitative Analyst at Magnetar Capital since September 2016, specializing in event-driven systematic strategies and merger arbitrage. Prior to this role, Fan served as an Assistant Vice President at Barclays from May 2014 to August 2016, focusing on systematic strategies, and held a Summer Associate position at Barclays in June 2013. Fan Zhang completed a Master in Financial Mathematics at Stanford University from 2011 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong between 2008 and 2011, including a brief exchange program at the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. Fan also attended Tsinghua University from 2007 to 2008.
