Cory Owen, MBA, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning over 12 years. Cory started their career as a Student Reporter/Writer at Wright State University, where they developed a comprehensive public relations strategic plan and provided media relations support for various events. Cory then moved on to become a Public Relations Writer in the Office of Communications and Marketing, where they wrote news releases, online newsroom stories, and marketing publications.

In 2011, Cory joined Wright State Research Institute as a Marketing Communications Specialist. Cory developed and executed marketing communications strategies, managed relationships with stakeholders, and created content for marketing publications, the web, and social media.

Afterward, Cory took on the role of Marketing Manager at Wright State University's Office of Marketing. Cory managed print projects, assigned tasks to staff members, and tracked project progress using project management software.

Cory's most recent position was at Magnetic Mobile, where they initially served as a Project Manager and later advanced to Lead Project Manager. In this role, they led the delivery of digital marketing technology solutions for the company's largest client account. Cory managed a long-term roadmap encompassing web development, mobile applications, creative design work, and in-store experience support. Additionally, they directed the workloads of their team members and prioritized tasks to ensure project success.

Throughout their career, Cory has demonstrated strong project management skills, effective communication abilities, and a strategic approach to marketing.

Cory Owen, MBA, PMP, has a strong educational background in business and communication. Cory obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a concentration in Creativity, Innovation, and Change from Wright State University, where they attended from 2011 to 2013. Prior to their MBA, Cory completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mass Communication and another B.A. in International Studies at Wright State University, from 2007 to 2010.

In addition to their academic achievements, Cory has also earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2021. This certification further highlights their expertise in project management and adds to their qualifications in the field.
