Wil Gootzen

Wil Gootzen is an experienced engineer with a strong background in product engineering, manufacturing processes, and management across various high-tech industries. Currently functioning as a Lead Engineer at MAGNETO special anodes B.V., Gootzen focuses on the development of electrodes for applications such as water electrolysis. Previous roles include Architect at Philips, where Gootzen contributed to the development of an in-vitro blood diagnostics device, and Lead Engineer at Solland Solar, optimizing solar cell efficiency. With early career experience at NXP Semiconductors managing engineering teams and at SEMATECH leading technology transfer initiatives, Gootzen has cultivated a robust skill set in engineering and process optimization. Educational qualifications include Master’s Degrees in Inorganic Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, complemented by post-academic studies in Polymer Technology.
