Allison Steury

Allison Steury has significant experience in IT governance, risk, and compliance. Allison worked as an IT Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) Manager at Magnolia Oil & Gas, where they were responsible for implementing and monitoring IT general controls, developing policies and procedures, and managing cybersecurity programs. Allison successfully transitioned IT SOX controls from a third party to the IT department.

Prior to that, Allison was an IT SOX and Internal Audit Consultant at SemGroup Corporation for eight years. Allison worked closely with the Internal Audit Director to ensure alignment and integration of business and technology controls. Allison planned and executed all IT-related Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal controls testing and conducted IT internal audit projects.

Before SemGroup, Allison worked as a SOX Independent Management Consultant at Prisma Energy, where they provided guidance on SOX compliance project implementation. Allison served as a Project Manager for a large international compliance initiative and reported issues to the Audit Committee.

Earlier in their career, Allison was an Associate Director at Protiviti, where they managed client relationships and was responsible for sales, marketing, and service delivery. Allison also led the Technology Change Management product team and worked on a large SOX compliance project for an energy company.

Allison began their career at Arthur Andersen as an Experienced Manager, leading consulting and internal audit projects in the energy industry. Allison developed teams and supported the sales process, proposal development, client relationships, and project management.

Allison Steury obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Baylor University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In terms of additional certifications, they received an ISACA Cybersecurity Audit Certificate from ISACA in May 2019. In addition, they hold a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification, which was obtained in February 1999, pending completion of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to reinstate their status. Allison also possesses an ITIL Foundations Certificate in IT Service Management, although the dates of when they obtained this certification are not provided.
