Christopher Stavros

Christopher Stavros has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Christopher is currently serving as the President & Chief Executive Officer of Magnolia Oil & Gas since September 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Executive Vice President & CFO at Magnolia Oil & Gas from March 2018 to September 2022.

Before joining Magnolia Oil & Gas, Stavros worked at Occidental Petroleum Corp. from 2005 to 2017, where they served as the SVP & Chief Financial Officer from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President - Investor Relations and Treasurer from 2005 to 2014.

Stavros began their career at UBS Investment Bank in 2000, where they worked as a Senior Oil and Gas Analyst until 2005. Prior to that, they worked at Paine Webber as a Senior Oil and Gas Analyst from 1997 to 2000, and at Prudential Securities as an Oil and Gas Analyst from 1992 to 1997.

Christopher Stavros obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree in Accounting from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. Christopher attended the university from 1981 to 1985. Later, Christopher pursued further education and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the University of Rochester - Simon Business School. Christopher studied at the business school from 1990 to 1992.
