Sashi Bhusan Mohapatra

Sashi Bhusan Mohapatra has a diverse range of work experience in the field of engineering. Sashi Bhusan has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

In 2005, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Wipro Technologies, where they focused on bringing up USB in the Genesis DTV system and supporting mass storage drivers.

From 2007 to 2008, they were a Senior Member Of Technical Staff at Genesis Microchip, later acquired by STMicroelectronics. There, they were part of the Linux device driver team and worked on porting open source software and developing device drivers for Genesis DTV platforms.

At STMicroelectronics from 2008 to 2013, they served as a Technical Leader in the BSP software team, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software packages for ST's DTV SoC platforms.

From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer II at Harman Connected Car, where they played a key role in developing the first Android Automotive OS IVI solution for General Motors. Sashi Bhusan led the Linux kernel team and owned several Android native components.

At QuickLogic in 2016, they served as a Staff Firmware Engineer, focusing on developing low-power, multi-core semiconductor platforms and IP for voice and sensor processing.

From 2017 to 2021, they returned to Harman International as a Sr Engineering Manager I/Sr Principal Engineer I. Sashi Bhusan served as the Domain Engineering Manager for the Base SW Android System Camera domain and later as the Engineering Manager of Android Systems for General Motors programs.

Sashi Bhusan then worked at Radisys Corporation in 2021 as a Sr. Engineering Manager, involved in the development of platform software for Reliance product portfolios.

Most recently, in 2022, they were the Director of Software Engineering at Jio Tesseract, where they led software engineering efforts.

Presently, they are a Principal Engineer/Department Head at Mahindra and Mahindra Limited, working at the Mahindra Software Defined Vehicle Centre.

Sashi Bhusan Mohapatra obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Embedded Systems Design from CDAC-ACTS, Chennai in 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Bhadrak Institute of Engineering and Technology (BIET), Bhadrak during the years 1998 to 2002. Sashi Bhusan also holds a certification in Management Excellence at Microsoft: Model, Coach, Care from LinkedIn, which was obtained in 2022.
