Lead - Project Development at Mahindra Susten

Rahul Samsi has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, working in various roles and responsibilities.

Rahul started their career at AREVA T&D as a Senior Manager, where they managed sales execution and contracts in South East Asia and North Africa.

Rahul then joined Vestas as a Deputy General Manager in Commercial Project Management, where they set up the department and led a team in delivering value engineering solutions. Rahul also acted as the State Head for Karnataka, overseeing sales operations.

Afterwards, Rahul worked at Mytrah Energy as a Deputy General Manager in Contracts & Commercial, followed by a role as Vice President of Commercial at Atria Power. In these positions, they focused on procurement, commercial evaluations, contractual negotiations, and supporting new project investments in various renewable energies.

Rahul then served as a Senior Sales Manager at GE Renewable Energy, where they developed business, managed customer relationships, and supported hybrid initiatives.

Rahul continued their career at Sterling and Wilson as the Head of Business Development for the Wind Energy Division. In this role, they were responsible for developing and growing the wind EPC business globally, including strategic alliances and hybrid solutions.

Rahul later joined Suzlon Group as a General Manager in Commercial, and then moved to Radiance Renewables as an Assistant Vice President in Project Development for Wind. In both positions, they focused on project development, engagement with project developers and land aggregators, and techno-commercial assessments.

Currently, Rahul is working at Mahindra Susten as the Lead of Project Development. Their responsibilities include heading project development activities, onboarding project developers and land aggregators, and ensuring compliance with all necessary permits and approvals.

Throughout their career, Rahul has demonstrated expertise in project development, commercial evaluations, strategic planning, and sales operations in the renewable energy sector.

Rahul Samsi completed the INSEAD Leadership Program for Senior Executives - ILPSE'17Jul at INSEAD in 2016-2017. Prior to that, they attended the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore from 2009 to 2010, where they completed an Executive Education Program in Leadership Excellence among Professionals. Their undergraduate education was pursued at Andhra University from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, Rahul obtained a Certificate in Contract Management from The World Bank, although the specific year is unknown.
