Sally O'Brien

Sally O'Brien, Ph.D., serves as the Lead Project Manager for Thermal Development Projects at SSE Thermal, focusing on hydrogen development, including the Aldbrough Hydrogen Pathfinder. With a strong background in hydrogen project management, Sally previously held roles as Senior Project Manager and Project Manager for the same flagship project. Sally's academic journey includes a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, specializing in critical infrastructure organization management within the Future Infrastructure and Built Environment Centre for Doctoral Training, alongside an MRes and MPhil in related fields. Sally also gained research experience at the Alan Turing Institute and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with First Class Honours from Trinity College Dublin.
