Sergio Bocos

Sergio Bocos serves as the Head of Product and Market Compliance at MAHLE SmartBike Systems since January 2020, focusing on product safety and compliance with global regulatory standards. Previously, Bocos led battery development, overseeing the entire project lifecycle, and was recognized with the Innovators Prize at EUROBIKE Frankfurt 2022. Prior experience includes roles at Groupe Renault as a Components Pilot and Technical Leader, and at Bertrandt as an Application Engineer, where key technical developments in engine components and turbochargers were managed. Bocos holds a BatteryMBA and has degrees in Mechanical & Energies Engineering and Fluid Mechanics & Project Management. Additional interests include coaching padel and public speaking through basketball narration.
