Dr. Thomas Kalmbach

Dr. Thomas Kalmbach has a strong background in engineering and research. Dr. Thomas started their career in 2012 as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Universität Stuttgart, where they worked until 2016. In 2017, they joined MAHLE as an Entwicklungsingenieur, and later became a Projektleiter. Currently, they hold the position of Lead Engineer in Thermal Management and Validation at MAHLE, starting in September 2021.

Dr. Thomas Kalmbach completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Verfahrenstechnik from the University of Stuttgart in 2009, followed by a Master of Science in Verfahrenstechnik from the same university in 2011. Dr. Thomas then obtained a Dr.-Ing. degree in Verfahrenstechnik from the University of Stuttgart in 2016. Dr. Kalmbach also participated in the Emerging leaders program at SDA Bocconi and ESMT Berlin in 2023, where they completed Module II and Module I respectively. In addition to their educational qualifications, they obtained certifications such as the Emerging leaders program Preparing talents for effective and responsible leadership from SDA Bocconi School of Management and the Fachkundige Person Hochvolt (FHV) für Arbeiten an HV-Systemen im spannungsfreien Zustand - Batterie certification from ITW-Schindler GmbH in 2022.
