Alejandro Laín Velilla

Alejandro Laín Velilla has extensive work experience in the automotive industry, primarily with the MAIER Group. Alejandro started in 1998 as a Project Leader at Dr. Franz Schneider S.A., where they stayed until 2000. From 2000 to 2002, they worked as a Project Leader at MAIER TECHNOLOGY CENTRE. Alejandro then joined the MAIER Group in 2002 as a Technical Sales Representative. In 2004, they became the Plant Project Manager and later the Plant Production Manager at MAIER NAVARRA, where they achieved significant accomplishments such as increasing productivity by 25% and reducing delivery time. In 2012, they were promoted to the role of Plant Manager - Director de Planta de fabricación of MAIER NAVARRA, where they were responsible for various areas and led a team of 170 people. Their most recent role is as the COO Europa at MAIER Group, starting from December 2019, where they oversee industrial management and the implementation of improvement plans.

Alejandro Laín Velilla graduated with a Licenciado degree in Industrial Engineering from Centro Politécnico Superior de Zaragoza in 1995. Alejandro then went on to obtain an Ingeniero Industrial degree from Technische Universität Braunschweig between 1995 and 1997. In 2012, Alejandro pursued further personal and leadership development by completing an Expert program in Personal Development and Team Leadership at Mondragon Unibertsitatea. In 2016 and 2017, they obtained expertise in Lean methodology by completing an Expert Level Lean program at CEAGA.
