Nathan Zapolsky

Nathan Zapolsky serves as the Assistant Medical Director at Maimonides Medical Center, holding various positions including Trauma Liaison and SAFE Director since July 2020. Concurrently, Nathan works at Staten Island University Hospital as an Emergency Medicine Physician and serves as the Emergency Department Director of Simulation, focusing on training residents and curriculum integration. Nathan also practices emergency medicine at Mount Sinai Health System and previously completed a residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Academic contributions include an appointment as Assistant Professor at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Nathan earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from The George Washington University. Early experiences include research at the American College of Cardiology and providing emergency medical care as an EMT.
