Sowmya Josyula has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Sowmya began their career at St. Barnabas Hospital as a Resident Physician, where they gained valuable experience in providing medical care to patients. Sowmya later became an Attending Physician at the same hospital, focusing on delivering compassionate and personalized care.

In 2014, Sowmya founded Klincis and served as a Clinical Consultant and Managing Partner. Here, they worked on transforming healthcare through innovative solutions such as artificial intelligence and predictive analytics. Sowmya also designed a web application/rules engine to improve transfusion practices and reduce heart failure readmissions.

Since 2021, Sowmya has been a Real Estate Investor, exploring opportunities outside of the healthcare field.

Sowmya Josyula has a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the St. Barnabas Health System, where they completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from New York University from 2012 to 2014. Sowmya holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree from Gandhi Medical College, which they completed from 2001 to 2007. Sowmya Josyula has additional certifications such as a New York State Physician License and American Board of Internal Medicine certification. Sowmya also holds certifications in CITI, ECFMG, and ACLS.
