Steven Shankman

Dr. Steven Shankman is the Vice Chair of the Department of Radiology at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, as well as the Residency Program Director. Prior to joining the Maimonides team, he was the Vice Chairman of the Radiology Department at the Hospital for Joint Diseases and Orthopaedic Institute in New York. Dr. Shankman completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency at St. Vincent's Hospital Medical Center, and his Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute in New York. Dr. Steven Shankman is active in research and has published, presented and lectured in his field. He belongs to several professional societies, including the American College of Radiology, the AMA, the Radiologic Society of North America, New York County Medical Society, and the New York Radiologic Society.
