Claiborne Childs, MD, MS, FACP has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Medical Affairs at Main Line Health since September 2022. Prior to this, Dr. Childs worked at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine from July 2022 to September 2022, and as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine from September 2017 to June 2022. Prior to their work at the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine, Dr. Childs worked as an Attending Physician at Montefiore Health System from August 2014 to September 2017 and as a Resident Physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from June 2011 to June 2014.

Claiborne Childs, MD, MS, FACP received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Yale University from 1998 to 2002. Subsequently, from 2003 to 2006, Childs pursued a Master of Science degree in Microbiology, General at Long Island University. Childs then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine from 2007 to 2011, earning a Doctor of Medicine degree. In terms of additional certifications, Childs became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in October 2015. Childs is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a designation obtained in 2023. Additionally, Childs holds a Medical License from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, obtained in 2017.
