Damien Montague

Damien Montague is an experienced environmental professional currently serving as an Environment Contractor for Main Roads Western Australia since September 2023. Previously, Damien held the position of Senior Associate at Strategen-JBS&G from August 2022 to August 2023, and has extensive experience with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, Western Australia, where roles included Team Leader Native Vegetation and Senior Environmental Officer from February 2017 to August 2022. Additionally, Damien had a secondment as Principal Policy Officer for the Minister for Mines and Petroleum at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet of WA from July 2016 to February 2017. Earlier experience includes positions such as Senior Environmental Officer at the Department of Mines and Petroleum from June 2011 to July 2016, Policy Officer with AMEC, and Environmental Officer focused on Native Vegetation Assessment from July 2006 to June 2010. Damien holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology and a Bachelor of Social Science in Geography from Curtin University.
