Jorge Acevedo Silva

Jorge Acevedo Silva is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in project management and engineering across various sectors, including road infrastructure and mining. Currently serving as a Senior/Quality Project Engineer at Main Roads Western Australia, Jorge oversees quality and project close-out for the $200M Smart Freeway Mitchell Southbound project. Prior roles include Project Site Engineer for the Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclists Bridges project and Senior Quality Engineer for the Leach-Welshpool grade separation project, among others. Jorge's career spans several companies, including GHD, Lendlease, AMC Consultants, and Conaring, with responsibilities ranging from road maintenance coordination to mining consultancy. Jorge holds a Master’s in Engineering Project Management and a Master’s in Mining Engineering from the University of Melbourne, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander.
