Shawn started their career in 2008 as a Project Manager at Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, where they successfully completed over 20 new home builds and managed volunteers. In 2009, Shawn worked as a Banking Sales Representative at TCF Bank. After that, they rejoined Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity in 2010, this time as a Lead Project Manager. In this role, they led the completion of over 80 volunteer-built homes, expanded the organization's projects, and managed a budget responsibility of over $5 million annually.
