Deirdre Fulton is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in journalism and editing. Currently serving as the Director of Communications at Maine Family Planning since September 2017, Deirdre is also a freelance writer and editor. Previous roles include Co-Founder of PortFringe, a performing arts festival in Portland, Maine, and Senior Editor and Staff Writer at Common Dreams. Deirdre has managed editorial teams as the Managing Editor of Portland Phoenix and has authored a three-book series of young adult fiction published by Simon & Schuster. Deirdre holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University.
