Peter Mills

After graduating from Harvard University in 1965, Mr. Mills served five years on Navy destroyers during Vietnam. Since graduating from the University of Maine School of Law in 1973, he has practiced law in Portland and Skowhegan and has on many occasions represented design professionals in construction claims. Beginning in 1994, Mr. Mills served 16 years in the Maine Legislature and has written extensively on tax, education and health policy. He ran twice for governor in the Republican primaries of 2006 and 2010. Mr. Mills has served as Executive Director of the Authority since March 2011.
