Gloria D. Sclar, PhD, MPH, serves as the Research Program Manager at the MaineHealth Institute for Research, where responsibilities include managing an NIH-funded COVID-19 testing study targeting underserved populations. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Public Health Program Associate at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, focusing on a randomized-controlled trial in India assessing behavior change for child feces management. Gloria also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at UNICEF, developing a menstrual hygiene management course, and worked with Emory University in teaching assistance roles for public health courses. Additional experience includes a Research Fellow position at Save the Children International examining puberty challenges, prior collaboration with the WHO on sanitation guidelines, and laboratory research on Huntington's Disease at the College of William and Mary. Academic credentials include a PhD in Psychology from the University of Zurich, an MPH in Community Health and Development from Emory University, and a BS in Molecular Biology from William & Mary.
