Patricia Pat Camire

Patricia “Pat” Camire earned her bachelor degree in Nursing at Westbrook College in Portland as one of the first 10 students to receive at BSN at the college. She went on to earn her master’s degree in nursing from University of Maine and then a master’s degree in healthcare administration from New England College in New Hampshire.

Pat worked at Southern Maine Health Care from 2005 to 2016, starting as a nursing director, then as Vice President of Clinical Services and finishing her last 2 years as Chief Nursing Officer. She began her career at Maine Medical Center in Portland working in the Coronary Intensive Care Unit and the Ambulatory Care Unit.

Pat has served in many leadership roles including on the Maine Health Nurse Executive Council, VHA Nurse Executive Council, American College of Healthcare Executives, American Organization of Nurse Executives, American Heart Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She has also served on the St Andre Healthcare Facility Board and currently sits on the Maine Health Care at Home Board where she served as Chair from 2018-2020.
