Lead Game Designer at Mainframe Industries

Petur Thorarinsson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the game design industry. Petur started their career in 2004 at CCP, where they served as Lead Game Designer for EVE Online and played a crucial role in implementing changes and improving the release cycle of the game. Petur then worked as a Senior Game Designer on the World of Darkness project, contributing to the design and development of various game systems. Petur also served as Lead Game Designer and Manager of Board Games & Cards at CCP, where they brainstormed and prototyped games, managed designers, and maintained long-term plans for board games and cards. Later, they joined Sólfar Studios as the Creative Director for the In Death game, leading design and overseeing its creative direction. Petur also worked on the Everest VR project, collaborating with the team on storyboarding, designing, and implementing the climbing experience. In 2018, Petur joined Pocket Gems as the Game Design Director, where they were responsible for leading the design of games and managing the creative direction. Currently, they are the Lead Game Designer at Mainframe Industries.

From 2001 to 2004, Petur Thorarinsson attended The Reykjavik Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts, where they studied Vocal Arts.
