Donna Hovey

Donna Hovey has extensive work experience in the field of iSeries engineering and support. Donna began their career at IBM as a Software Support Specialist, where they triaged and solved communication problems related to IBM i systems. Donna then worked at Response, Inc as an IT System Administrator, responsible for network and server administration, as well as customer support for AS/400 systems.

Donna then joined Vision Solutions as an Advisory Solution Analyst, where they solved complex customer-reported software issues for the Mimix High Availability and Disaster Recovery product. Donna provided support for the Mimix software, IBM i operating system, and communications.

After this, Donna worked at Sirius Computer Solutions as a Power Systems Engineer, Managed Services. Here, they specialized in Mimix administration, providing configuration, migrations, monitoring, and troubleshooting services. Donna also trained their peers on the use of Mimix and successfully fixed numerous environments with daily errors.

Most recently, Donna worked at MEDHOST OF TENNESSEE, INC as an iSeries Engineer. Donna'sresponsibilities included managing 175 partitions, performing flash copy backups, applying PTFs, troubleshooting problems, and monitoring system performance. Donna also led projects for implementing the JET tool and advanced job scheduler, as well as migrating systems using Mimix. During their tenure, Donna received a key contributor award.
