Stephen Parks

Stephen Parks has extensive work experience in the field of IT and systems administration. Stephen began their career as an Assembly Line Worker at Briggs & Stratton in 1989 while they were in college. From there, they progressed to positions of increasing responsibility and expertise.

In 1995, Parks joined GoldMine Software (FrontRange Solutions) as a System/Network Administrator II. Stephen was responsible for maintaining and upgrading a large network, including multiple floors in two separate buildings. Stephen also managed the WAN between the California and Colorado offices using Cisco routers. Parks worked in this role until 2001.

Following their time at GoldMine Software, Parks joined Advantsys as a Senior Engineer. In this position, they upgraded and repaired customer systems onsite, including networks, servers, and firewalls. Parks held this role from 2001 to 2002.

In 2002, Parks became an IT Manager at Absolute Analysis. Stephen was responsible for maintaining and upgrading various systems, including GoldMine Premium Edition on Microsoft SQL 2010, the GoldSync server, and the Windows 2008 Server for outside access. Stephen held this role for 12 years, until 2014.

After leaving Absolute Analysis, Parks joined Wilwood Engineering as a System Administrator in 2013. Here, they helped maintain and upgrade systems as necessary and assisted with backup helpdesk duties.

From 2014 to 2017, Parks worked as an IT Manager at Mike Rovner Construction, Inc. Stephen was responsible for maintaining and upgrading GoldMine Premium Edition on Microsoft SQL 2010, Vista by ViewPoint Construction accounting software on Microsoft SQL 2012, and the Windows 2008 Server for outside access.

Most recently, Parks worked at Elixir Technologies as an IT Manager from 2017 to 2022. In this role, they maintained and upgraded Windows servers, administered the Office 365 Environment for over 250 employees, and managed network and cloud-based VoIP phone systems.

Currently, Parks is employed at Mainline Information Systems as a Services Open Systems Engineer, starting in 2022.

Stephen Parks began their education in 1984 at Oxnard High School, where they studied Pre-College courses. After completing two years there, they transferred to Dallas High School and graduated in 1988. From 1989 to 1995, they attended Murray State University, pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Physics, Computer Science, and Math. Furthermore, in May 2000, they obtained a certification in Cisco from Cisco institution.
