Douglas McKay

Douglas McKay is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in manufacturing and mechanical design. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Mainspring Energy since November 2018, Douglas previously held roles at Tesla from August 2012 to June 2018, where responsibilities included mechanical design and assembly processes for drive unit assembly fixtures. Douglas also contributed as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at MiaSolé, focusing on high-speed manufacturing machines for solar panel assembly, and held various engineering positions at NanoNexus Inc., CMD Group, Micron Computer, ILC Technology, Inc., and Lumisys, Inc. A foundational role at Lockheed Martin included work as a Senior Technical Illustrator. Douglas holds an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from De Anza College and further education from San Jose State University.
