Kristin Hartsfield

Kristin Hartsfield is an experienced engineer specializing in fleet operations and analytics, currently serving as a Fleet Operations and Analytics Engineer at Mainspring Energy since September 2023. Prior to this role, Kristin worked as a Validation Engineer at Amber Kinetics, where responsibilities included writing system validation test plans and developing data analysis tools in Python to enhance R&D testing. Kristin also contributed to building automated data processing programs and creating new performance metrics for energy storage systems. Earlier experience includes internships with the Industrial Environmental Association and Engineers for a Sustainable World at UCSD, where design and prototyping of water desalination devices were key projects. Kristin began the professional journey as an Engineering Laboratory Technician at Solutions Matter, focusing on quality assurance and assembly of medical devices, and also worked as a tutor for students in grades K-8. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego, earned in 2021.
