Maria Amundson

Maria Amundson, Chief Communications Officer, joined Mainspring in 2018 to lead the company’s communications and corporate marketing. She previously served as Global Chair, Technology Sector for Edelman, the world’s leading communications marketing agency, where she headed a team of 550 tech communications professionals in 35 countries. Prior to that role, she served for three years as General Manager of Edelman’s Silicon Valley office, leading it to record profitability and top client satisfaction rankings all three years, following five years in other senior leadership roles. Her areas of expertise include executive counsel, corporate transition, product and category launches, brand positioning and financial communications. In 2006 Edelman acquired A&R Partners, the award-winning technology communications agency of 120 professionals that she co-owned, where she played an instrumental role in its rise to the leading independent PR agency in Silicon Valley. With a strong interest in community service, Maria serves on the leadership council for nonprofit advocacy group Children Now and has served on the regional board of Teach for America, Bay Area and the board of the Bay Area Council. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and was a DCI Fellow at Stanford University in 2017.
