Laura Hughes

Laura Hughes has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the engineering and construction industry. Laura is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Mainstay Engineering Group since September 2023. Before that, they worked at Exyte as the Global Vice President of Business Development from February 2021 to September 2023. From July 2018 to February 2021, they held the position of Director at Burns Engineering, Inc. Prior to that, Laura was the Pharma Market Sector Leader, North America at Arcadis from August 2015 to July 2018. Laura also served as the Director of Business Development at Jacobs from March 2011 to August 2015. Laura held the role of Executive Vice President at Fortis Engineering in 2010. From April 2004 to February 2010, they were the Vice President and Atlanta Metro Regional Manager at Jacobs (JJG). Laura started their career as a Sales Director at Personette Properties from 1999 to 2003. Laura also worked as a Project Engineer at Black & Veatch from 1997 to 1999 and at Weston Solutions, Inc. from 1994 to 1997.

Laura Hughes has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa, obtained from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, they attended the Vlerick Business School in 2018 for a specialization in Digital Leadership.
