Lu Wingfield

VP of Mental Health at Mainstream Living

LuAnn Wingfield is the Vice President of Mental Health Services, overseeing all mental health program offered by Mainstream Living. Wingfield has worked for the organization since 1988 when she began her career in direct care while attending Iowa State University. Since that time, she has held nine positions with the company, including Case Management Supervisor and Program Administrator for a 40-bed Residential Care Facility that Mainstream previously operated in Des Moines. Wingfield works conscientiously to develop the leadership capacity of our direct care and mid-level staff, while inspiring others to provide the very best services possible. She is committed to involving families, guardians, and members in enhancing their understanding of mental health needs and engaging them in a comprehensive manner towards recovery-focused goals. Working to ensure mental health programs meet the needs of the community, she emphasizes our mission, while leading Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) efforts throughout the organization. Wingfield holds a Bachelor's of Social Work from Iowa State University. She lives in Urbandale with her husband and they have an adult son, Boyse. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, home decorating, and painting.
