Andrew Schawel

Andrew Schawel is an accomplished beverage professional with extensive experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Currently serving as Beverage Manager at Major Food Group since September 2021, Andrew has previously held prominent roles, including Beverage Director at Bullion Restaurant, where notable accolades were achieved such as the 2018 Dallas Culturemap Wine Program of the Year and recognition in Wine Enthusiast's America's 100 Best Wine Restaurants for two consecutive years. Andrew's background includes key positions at Union Square Hospitality Group, where achievements included contributing to the 2 Michelin Stars at The Modern and receiving the Wine Spectator Grand Award in 2016. Early career experiences include leading teams at Canlis Restaurant and holding various roles in Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Tom Douglas Restaurants. Andrew holds an Associate of Arts degree in Business and Spanish from College of DuPage and furthered studies in Political Ecology of Land at The Evergreen State College.
