Bruce Popko

Chief Executive Officer at Major League Pickleball

Bruce Popko has over three decades of experience in the sports industry, holding various senior-level positions. Most recently, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Major League Pickleball since June 2023. Prior to that, they co-founded Forma Capital in December 2022. From September 2019 to June 2023, Popko worked as the Chief Operating Officer at Gioia Capital. Before that, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Pegula Sports and Entertainment from February 2017 to February 2019, and as the EVP of Business Development from January 2015 to February 2017. Popko also has experience with the Buffalo Bills as the Chief Revenue Officer from April 2014 to January 2015, and as the SVP of Business Development from May 2009 to April 2014. Bruce worked at IMG as a Senior Vice President from February 2005 to May 2009. Additionally, Popko held the position of Vice President at the Cleveland Browns from October 1998 to July 2004. Earlier in their career, they worked at the San Francisco 49ers as the Director of Business Development, the National Football League as a Marketing Manager, and the New York Jets as a Marketing Manager.

Bruce Popko attended the University of Pennsylvania from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. Bruce then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Finance/Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business from 1995 to 1997.
