Brandon Vidal-Lubin leads Major, Lindsey & Africa's Asia-Pacific operations. With offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney, and affiliate offices in Beijing and Seoul, Brandon's primary focus is to continuously improve on the talent acquisition process for the firm's clients across APAC and for clients looking to establish a presence in APAC. This starts with hiring and retaining the top legal search professionals in the industry. Providing financial, marketing, technical, operational and human resources support, coupled with the ongoing need to develop best practices and professional development strategies to grow our business, are the core activities in which Brandon is involved. Remaining current on regulatory and compliance matters in the jurisdictions in which Major, Lindsey & Africa operates is another key element of Brandon's responsibilities.
Having previously worked in Major, Lindsey & Africa's United States offices as Regional Operations Manager, West Region has facilitated Brandon's ability to coordinate collaborative engagements across borders that provide a market leading edge to our APAC Consultants. With many law firm chairmen, global general counsel, and global heads of HR based in the US, the firm's US-based Consultants readily leverage their connections to these critical decision-makers to the advantage of our APAC Consultants which, in turn, offers our local candidates and clients an edge over our local competitors. As a truly global firm, with more than 35 years in the industry, MLA is unparalleled in its ability advise its candidates on the best opportunities in the market and is a powerful advocate for its long-standing local, regional and global clients looking for the best legal talent.
Brandon was born in Los Angeles; grew up in Orange County, California; spent a part of his childhood years in Mexico City; and called the San Francisco Bay Area home for 19 years before moving to Hong Kong in 2008. He enjoys traveling; has studied in France, Switzerland and Japan; and is a native Spanish speaker.
Working in the legal field in the US and Asia Pacific for nearly 25 years, Brandon brings substantial industry experience to our Asia-Pacific operations. His nearly 20 years in management roles, first at an AmLaw 100 law firm and now at Major, Lindsey & Africa, serve him well as he expands the firm's business interests in the greater Asia-Pacific region. Having previously recruited for a law firm, Brandon has invaluable insight that benefits our private practice clients.
As a member of Major, Lindsey & Africa's inaugural Diversity Council established in 2012, Brandon takes great pride in working with an organization that is committed to providing its clients with not only the best technical legal talent, but also with a talent pool possessing broad experience that ultimately accrues material benefits to acquiring clients.
