Craig Appelbaum

Managing Director, Client Development at Major, Lindsey & Africa

Craig Appelbaum, a Managing Director – Client Development, works closely with corporate legal departments and law firms to provide talent solutions to skill gaps, headcount shortage or other bandwidth issues.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa, Craig was a vice president at Guidepoint, where he worked with law firms to strategize on trial preparation and the retention of expert witnesses. Before that, he was director of strategic solutions for Adams & Martin Group, where he helped law firms as well as financial services organizations identify talent to permanent and temporary roles.

An experienced eDiscovery expert, Craig first served as an eDiscovery project manager for Special Counsel, supervising teams of attorneys, accountants and eDiscovery professionals on projects for large law firm and financial services clients and training attorneys on usage of eDiscovery platforms. He left Special Counsel to work as an eDiscovery staff attorney at Mayer Brown for three years before returning to Special Counsel to advise clients on eDiscovery strategies and resources and how to most efficiently conduct reviews to reduce litigation spend.

Craig began his career as a tax attorney with Ernst & Young and later Crowell & Moring.
