Tina Cohen Nicol

Tina Cohen Nicol is a Partner in the Chicago office. She specializes in representing attorneys at all levels in the lateral marketplace. During her tenure with them, she has worked with associates, individual partners, partner groups, government attorneys and in-house attorneys. She has placed candidates in AmLaw 200 firms, regional firms and boutiques as well as prominent companies and financial institutions.

As a former litigator, Tina brings her communication, advocacy and negotiation skills to her career as a legal recruiter. She acts as a career counselor to her candidates, bringing deep market expertise as they navigate career options. She also guides them through the entire interview and recruiting process so they are well prepared for any meetings and potential decisions. Candidates have praised Tina’s ability to listen, understand their short-term and long-term goals, and effectively identify appropriate opportunities.

Prior to joining Major, Lindsey & Africa in 2012, Tina was a practicing attorney with the Office of the Attorney General and Katten & Temple, LLP. Earlier in her career, she worked in the financial services industry.
