James Shecter

James Shecter is an accomplished investor with a diverse portfolio in ventures and management since 2017. Currently, James holds positions at Makena Capital Management, LLC, Rize Education, The MBA Fund, Billfold Contactless Solutions, and Nomad Bank. As a Co-Managing Partner at The MBA Fund, James focuses on fostering a start-up ecosystem by mentoring founders and providing seed-stage capital. Previous roles include Vice President at 9Yards Capital and Associate at Lee Equity Partners, following an investment banking analyst position at Citi. James earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from The Wharton School.
