Adam Kemp

Adam Kemp has a diverse work experience in teaching and education. Adam worked as an Assistant Principal, Head of the STEAM Department, and an Engineering Teacher at the Princeton International School of Mathematics and Science, where they developed a rigorous Technology and Engineering curriculum for grades 9-12. Adam also led a team of STEM educators and oversaw research conducted in technical laboratories.

Before that, Adam worked for Make: as an Author and Online Educator, where they wrote a book on makerspace workshops and developed an online course on integrating making into education.

Prior to that, Adam was the Energy Systems Lab Director and an Engineering Teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

Adam also had a mentorship role at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where they were involved in the Student Seismic Discovery Mission.

Overall, Adam has a strong background in STEM education and has developed expertise in curriculum design, makerspace workshops, and mentoring.

Adam Kemp has a Master of Education (MEd) degree in STEM Leadership from the American College of Education. Adam obtained this degree from 2019 to 2020. Adam also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Technology Teacher Education/Industrial Arts Teacher Education from Virginia Tech, which they completed from 2001 to 2005.

In addition to their degrees, Adam has obtained several certifications. Adam holds a Certificate for STEM Teaching from the National Institute for STEM Education, which they received in April 2019. Adam also has a Teacher of Technology Education certification from the New Jersey Department of Education, obtained in December 2016. In September 2013, Adam earned an Endorsement in Advanced Academics from Fairfax County Public Schools. Lastly, they possess a Collegiate Professional License in Technology Education from the Virginia Department of Education, which they obtained in June 2005.
