Jose Gomez-Marquez

Jose Gomez-Marquez is a distinguished academic and entrepreneur currently serving as a Visiting Professor at Politecnico di Milano, focusing on next-generation biomaterials laboratory design and seeking collaboration with healthcare professionals regarding their experiences during the COVID pandemic. As a co-founder of MakerHealth since June 2014, Jose has been instrumental in bridging the gap between making and healthcare, empowering individuals to engage in hands-on health-making practices. Previously, Jose co-directed the Little Devices Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2008 to August 2021 and served as a principal investigator for the MakerNurse Project. Additional experience includes participation as a Berlin member of the BMW Guggenheim Lab and a marketing role at INVESCO Institutional from 2001 to 2004.
