Andrew Barter

Director of IT Operations at Makers Empire

Andrew Barter began their work experience in 1999 as a Software Engineer at Neller, where they developed a web-based HR/Payroll application. Andrew then moved on to work as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Sensor Signal Processing (CSSIP), where they used MATLAB for image processing and data analysis for a defense company. Andrew later became the IT Manager at Kojo from 2002 to 2009. Barter worked as a Developer/Consultant at DMFour from 2009 to 2011. Andrew then joined NoQ as a Software Engineer & Technical Operations, focusing on web and mobile application development. Barter worked as a Senior Application Specialist at The University of Adelaide from 2013 to 2017. Currently, they work as the Director of IT Operations at Makers Empire, overseeing their 3D design and printing learning program for K-8 classrooms.

Andrew Barter attended the University of Adelaide from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology & Telecommunications. Andrew also obtained a Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance in October 2014.
