Nurilya Matbayeva's work experience begins in 2017 as a Deck Cadet at Stichting Zeilschip Eendracht. In 2018, they worked as a Trainee Navigational Deck Officer at P&O Maritime Logistics, gaining experience in working onboard module carrier and ice-breaking supply vessels. In 2020, they served as a Demand Planner at "Megapolis Kazakhstan", where they developed sales demand plans and collaborated with regional teams to improve forecasts. From 2021 to the present, Nurilya has been working as a Technical Documentation Engineer at Makini - EAM API Gateway. In the same year, they also worked as a Project Manager at ProductLife Group, managing multiple projects in the pharmaceutical field and collaborating with cross-functional teams. In 2022, they worked as a Project Manager at TrainingData, leading a team for a voice data labeling project. Currently, Nurilya is a Product Manager at Kassa24.kz, where they lead online cash register product development, conducts market research, and defines product strategies.

Nurilya Matbayeva completed their high school education at Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a High School Diploma. Following that, they attended Kazakh-British Technical University from 2016 to 2020, earning a Bachelor of Nautical Science degree with a specialization in Marine Technique and Technologies.

In addition to their formal education, Nurilya has also obtained various certifications. In November 2020, they completed the "Initiating and Planning Projects" certification from the University of California, Irvine Division of Continuing Education on Coursera. In 2022, they acquired several other certifications including "Junior Product Manager" from Product Bee Inc., "Agile Project Management" from Coursera | Google, "Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals" from the University of Virginia, "Introduction to Software Product Management" from the University of Alberta, and "Foundations of Project Management" from Coursera | Google.
