Francesco Flammini

Francesco Flammini currently serves as Region 8 Area Vice-Chair and Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing at the IEEE Computer Society since 2023. In addition, Francesco is a Distinguished Visitor for HiPEAC and holds multiple membership positions, including IEEE SMCS Associate Vice President for Membership and Student Activities. Francesco's leadership roles include Vice-Chair of the IEEE ComSoc SIG on Green Digital Twin Network, Member at Large of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society, and Chair of the Technical Committee on Homeland Security. As a Full Professor of Computer Science at Mälardalen University, Francesco focuses on Cyber-Physical Systems and supervises PhD students. Francesco is also an Associate Editor for various journals including those published by Elsevier and Springer Nature Group, and has been recognized as a Distinguished Speaker by ACM. Francesco's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computer & Systems Engineering and participation in multiple advanced training programs, emphasizing a strong foundation in computer engineering and management.
