Sami Saarenketo

Sami Saarenketo serves as the Dean of LUT Business School at Lappeenranta University of Technology since July 1999, leading the institution's academic and operational strategies while promoting excellence in research and education. With a rich academic background, including roles as Vice Head and Professor in the School of Business, and experience in various capacities related to international marketing and management, Sami has bolstered the school's reputation and industry relationships. Additionally, Sami holds the position of Chairman of the Board at OP Kaakkois-Suomi, focusing on strategic leadership and sustainability initiatives. Past engagements also include roles at Mälardalen University, NTNU, and Stanford University, alongside previous chairmanship at OP Etelä-Karjala. Sami holds both D.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in International Marketing from LUT University.
