Ignasio Jimu

Ignasio Malizani Jimu is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education and quality assurance. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Malawi University of Science and Technology since February 2021, Ignasio has previously held significant roles, including Academic at Mzuzu University and Quality Assurance Manager at the National Council for Higher Education in Malawi. From June 2000 to June 2022, Ignasio was also an Associate Professor of Geography at Mzuzu University. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Sciences from the University of Basel (2008-2011), a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Botswana (2001-2003), and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Malawi (1993-1997).
