Christian D. Tate is an accomplished project manager and imaging scientist with extensive experience in planetary science and engineering. Currently at Malin Space Science Systems Inc., Christian has contributed to Mars 2020 rover operations and instrument development. Previously, at Cornell University, Christian served as a postdoctoral researcher in comparative planetology, collaborating on the Mastcam-Z team and mentoring students while analyzing rover data. Christian's prior roles include graduate research assistant at the University of Louisville, coordinator at Fellon-McCord & Associates, and mechanical engineering intern at Zoeller Company. Christian holds a Ph.D. in Planetary Astronomy and Science from Cornell University, a Master's in Physics from the University of Louisville, and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, complemented by studies at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
