Mónica Fernández's work experience begins in 2015 as an intern at Sotano Studio, where they worked on retail merchandising and branding for Salvatore Ferragamo's perfume line. In 2016, they joined Phocus Brand and Innovation, taking on roles as a Brand Analyst and later as a Brand Strategist, where they managed and led various strategy and research projects. In 2018, Mónica became the Head of Execution and Strategy at IE Women in Business Club. In 2019, they worked as an Acceleration Specialist at the City of Knowledge Foundation, analyzing potential startups and managing the Mentor's Program. Most recently, Mónica holds the role of Chief Operating Officer at Mallol Arquitectos, where they developed the company's innovation team, led a digital transformation, and managed the MIO innovation and entrepreneurship hub.
Mónica Fernández has a Master's degree in Management from IE Business School, which they obtained from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Product Design from Isthmus - Escuela de Arquitectura y Diseño de América Latina y el Caribe from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Mónica also has certifications in Business Model Innovation and Value Proposition Design from Strategyzer and Brand Leadership: Strategy, Management, and Performance from Columbia Business School.
