Jurgen Zammit has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Jurgen started their career in 1997 as an Accounts Clerk at Malta Freeport Terminals Ltd. Jurgen then worked as an I.T. (Electronic Data Interchange) specialist and later as a Vessel Operations Planner. In 2006, they joined Malta College for Arts, Science and Technology as an EU Projects Coordinator. In 2011, they became a Senior Auditor at the National Audit Office Malta before moving on to become a Contracts Manager at Malta Enterprise. In 2013, they also served as a member of the General Contracts Committee at the Ministry of Finance and as a Board Audit Committee Member at MITA. Finally, in 2014, they became the Head of External Relations at Malta Enterprise.
Jurgen Zammit's education history starts with their Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Banking & Finance and Management from the University of Malta, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Jurgen then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same university, completing it from 2003 to 2005. Following this, Jurgen enrolled in ACCA and earned an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy and Business by 2016. Continuing their educational journey, they further pursued a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance from ACCA, expected to be completed in 2022.

Malta Enterprise is the country’s economic development agency, tasked with attracting new foreign direct investment as well as facilitating the growth of existing operations. In operation under various guises since the 1950s, which is almost since the beginning of Malta’s industrial development, the Corporation contains within it a great deal of accumulated experience in the field. Malta Enterprise is also the national contact point for the Enterprise Europe Network through which companies based in Malta can develop links with counterparts in over 60 other countries. This facilitates interaction with investors from all sectors, ensuring that specific requirements are understood and met. The long term presence of an investor in the country is a priority for Malta Enterprise.
