Head - Business Transformation at Malta Gaming Authority

Thomas Consoli has extensive work experience in various roles related to business transformation, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Thomas began their career at Nylon Knitting Ltd. as a Trainee Maintenance Engineer, where they gained hands-on experience in maintenance and servicing of engineering equipment. Thomas then moved on to positions at the Malta Standards Authority, Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority, and Technical Regulations Division, MCCAA, where they played key roles in drafting technical regulations, presenting the Maltese official position on European legislation, and representing Malta in EU committees and working groups.

In 2013, Thomas served as the Chairman of the Certification Board at the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority. Since 2017, they have been working at the Malta Gaming Authority, starting as a Senior Executive in Business and Quality Assurance, responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures and conducting quality audits. Thomas later became the Manager of Business Transformation, where they implemented and improved the Quality Management System and coordinated technical system changes. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Business Transformation at the Malta Gaming Authority.

Throughout their career, Thomas Consoli has demonstrated a strong focus on quality management, process improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Thomas Consoli holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malta. Thomas later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chester. In addition to their formal education, Thomas has obtained various certifications, including ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor from PECB in 2022 and PRINCE 2 Practitioner from APMG International in 2013. Thomas also holds qualifications such as Warrant to Exercise Engineering Profession in Malta and European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
