Janice Chen is the co-founder & CTO of Mammoth Biosciences, where Janice is utilizing novel CRISPR systems to advance the platform's ability to decode and manipulate genetic information. Prior to this, Janice conducted graduate research at University of California, Berkeley focusing on DNA-cutting CRISPR proteins and at Harvard Medical School on renewable energy solutions. Janice also has experience as an undergraduate researcher at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and as a research intern at K-RITH, where Janice delved into the role of metal ions in biology and molecular signals triggering tuberculosis. Janice holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of California, Berkeley and a B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University.
