Lorenzo Greco has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Lorenzo started their career as a CAD designer at Cristofani Architettura in 2009, where they used software such as Revit and AutoCAD to create and improve architectural projects. In 2014, Lorenzo joined schlaich bergermann und partner as a structural engineer before moving to Waagner-Biro, where they worked as a Structural Engineer / Computational Engineer, focusing on structural design and developing ad-hoc tools for optimization. Concurrently, Lorenzo also served as a mentor at the University of Pisa from 2014 to 2016. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at AKT II as a Senior Computational Engineer, leading software and algorithm development projects. Lorenzo then joined Raphos in 2018 as a Research Scientist / Engineer, specializing in software and algorithm development for optimization, machine learning, and data analysis. Currently, Lorenzo is working at Man Group since 2019, initially as a Quantitative Developer, then as a Senior Quant Developer, and currently holds the position of Head of Portfolio Management Analytics Tech.
Lorenzo Greco has a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from Università di Pisa, which they obtained between 2007 and 2013. In 2012, they completed a research internship in Mechanics of Structures at Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, which resulted in a publication. Lorenzo also has a Mini MBA in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Università di Pisa, which they obtained in 2013. In 2010, they studied Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology at San Diego State University. Additionally, Lorenzo has a certification in Security on work for the construction industry from an unspecified institution, obtained in 2012.
